Why Choose Myanmar
Overwhelming Cost Benefits
One of the main reasons Myanmar is chosen for offshore development is its cost-effectiveness. While engineering positions command relatively high salaries within Myanmar, junior engineers with less than 3 years of experience typically earn between $300-500 per month. Myanmar now offers one of the world's most competitive labor costs.
Abundance of Japanese Language Learners
Myanmar has a remarkably high number of Japanese language learners, ranking second after China in JLPT test takers as of December 2023. The Burmese and Japanese languages share similar grammatical structures, particularly the SOV (Subject-Object-Verb) word order. This similarity makes it easier for Myanmar people to learn Japanese compared to speakers of other languages.
Particularly in conversation skills, Myanmar candidates typically demonstrate superior abilities compared to test-takers from other countries at the same JLPT level. This is because the grammatical similarity allows them to immediately apply newly learned vocabulary in conversation.
This high Japanese communication capability leads to quick adaptation in business environments and smooth team communication, making Myanmar talent particularly valuable.
Diligent and Service-Oriented National Character
Myanmar is one of the world's most Buddhist countries, with official government statistics showing about 90% of the population practicing Theravada Buddhism. Many people value the accumulation of merit through their Buddhist faith. This religious foundation has fostered a national character of diligence and sincerity. This spirit of service is reflected in charitable giving - in the 2023 World Giving Index, Myanmar ranked 6th overall and 1st in the donation category.

What is EOR (Employer of Record)?
EOR (Employer of Record) refers to a service where an organization acts as the official employer on behalf of companies wanting to hire foreign talent abroad. The EOR handles payroll, HR management, and other employment-related tasks on behalf of the client company. Using EOR services allows companies to legally employ foreign talent residing abroad. Companies can direct work assignments to foreign talent hired through EOR services just as they would with their direct employees. In other words, EOR enables companies to legally hire foreign talent regardless of whether they have overseas offices. This opens up recruitment possibilities to talent from around the world.

General knowledge
About Myanmar
Myanmar might not be a very familiar country. While the news often shows negative information, what is the reality? We will share information about Myanmar's current situation, which is often difficult to see from the outside.
AFFAIRS
Current Situation in Myanmar
On February 1st, 2021, a military coup in Myanmar led to the detention of elected government leaders, including Aung San Suu Kyi, and the military regime seized power. This event halted the transition to democracy and greatly destabilized the country's political situation. Currently, resistance forces and ethnic armed groups are united in fighting against the military in various border regions. However, most Japanese companies, including ours, are based in Yangon, the economic hub, which is physically distant from the conflict zones and remains a very safe area. As of September 2024, three and a half years after the coup, the security situation is quite good, and there is no sense of danger unless you walk alone in deserted areas at night. Within Yangon city, many Japanese companies continue to actively conduct business operations, and the Japanese community remains vibrant.
